TEO MAHLKNECHT
Born 1972
It is with graceful irreverence that Teo Mahlknecht
approaches sculpting by combining his notable techniques with a touch of
humorous irony: a rooster is marked by a tire track that has rendered it
flat and thus part of the asphalt, a goose crashes into glass and its
feathers are scattered all around like confetti ad Carneval, a curious mouse
makes a comical stopper for a bottle as well as the chubby cow with its
exaggerated udders hanging about! This is his animal kingdom where reinterpretation
by playful creativity reign. With remarkable precision in his workmanship,
and astounding perception for the absurd combinations, Teo Mahlknecht has
successfully created an original technique as well as other suggestions
for design, toys or simple inventions that observe the Gardena traditions.
